Girls Who Code is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to close the gender gap in technology, one girl at a time. It offers free after-school clubs for 6 through 12th grade girls, where members can learn computer science skills, such as coding and programming, to tackle relevant issues in their community. Huntsville Public Library will be hosting its own Girls Who Code Club starting January 4, 2018. Meetings will be held every Thursday of the spring semester at the Library Community Room from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. As a condition of acceptance, members are required to attend at least 80 percent of meetings throughout the semester. Space is limited and registration is required. Register here. For more information or to register, contact Bella Abril at or call 936-291-5472.
