If you reside inside the city limits of Huntsville, you need to contact Fire Station #2 to obtain a burning permit.

 

When can I obtain a burning permit? 
You may obtain a burning permit from Fire Station #2, 2109 Sam Houston Ave. on Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30 PM.

 

How much do burning permits cost? 
There is no charge for a burning permit.

 

How long does the permit allow me to burn? 
Burn permits are good for 60 days from the date they are issued.

 

What can happen if I don't get a permit? 
You can be issued a citation for burning without a permit inside the city limits of Huntsville.
